Where do the StoresightAI photos come from?

Storesight sources photos using sampling methodology and a partner model, combining category-based quotas with everyday shoppers to ensure broad coverage, deep insights, and access to hard-to-reach locations.

At Storesight, we source our photos through a combination of sampling methodology and a unique partner model, ensuring broad coverage and diverse insights. Here's how it works:

1.) Sampling Methodology: To provide you with a comprehensive view of different categories, we employ a sampling methodology that considers various factors. We quota our monthly photos at the category level, taking into account geography, retailer, and level of urbanization. Our goal is to include unique locations each month, offering a breadth of category coverage. However, we also repeat some locations over time to capture the depth and changes in categories within the same store.

2.) Partner Model: Unlike traditional merchandising companies, we leverage ordinary consumers who are located across various regions. This approach allows us to achieve extensive coverage, including remote areas where store visits may be infrequent. By engaging everyday shoppers as our partners, we not only gather data but also provide an opportunity for consumers to subsidize their grocery trips. They can save money on their grocery bills by simply taking a few photos while they're already at the store for their own shopping needs.

Through this unique combination of sampling methodology and our partner model, we ensure a wide range of photos that provide valuable insights into any country, retailer, and even areas that might be less explored by other market research approaches.
